🏠 Home vs Dashboard
Home is your inbox: invitations, to-do's, and recommendations. The
Dashboard is the live view — what's happening near
you right now.
Most cards here hide themselves when they have nothing in them, so Home
looks different each visit. A card you saw last time isn't broken — it's just empty.
When a card is empty because something on your profile is missing, it stays put and
tells you what to fix instead of vanishing.
Reminders is the time-sensitive card: an event or group of yours that isn't live
yet, a join request waiting on you, an RSVP that's due, a survey you owe an answer to.
Nothing there has a checkbox — each one clears itself once you deal with it. It starts
collapsed with a count in the heading; tap the heading to open it, and it stays that way
on all your devices.
Suggested ToDo's is the opposite: things to try, at your own pace. They tick
themselves off as you actually do them. Ticking one by hand hides it on all your devices
— and nothing is deleted, Show Completed Items brings it back.
📨 Invitations
A group invitation is a real question — you are not in the group unless
you press ✓ Accept. × Decline joins you to nothing and nobody is told
off. Once you've accepted you can still leave any time with × Leave Group on
the group's page.
If the group's organizer approves each member, accepting puts you in
their queue rather than straight in — the card says so before you answer.
Event invites clear the moment you answer Interested, Maybe, or Not Interested,
and they only ever list events that haven't happened yet.
🔗 Shared With You is a heads-up, not an invite — no answer expected.
A share drops off once you join that event, and after 30 days either way.
📅 Why Suggestions Go Missing
Tag your interests first — most of this page is built from them.
Member Match, the 🤝 N members share your
interests line in the Near you card, and the two suggestion cards below all
come from what you've tagged. Until you tag some, they simply aren't there, and qMEET
looks far quieter than it is.
Suggested Events and Suggested Groups need two things from you. Miss either
one and both cards are replaced by a single card naming what's missing, with a link
to each fix. The Near you card does the same.
- Interests tagged 😍 Love or 🙂 Like on
My Interests. Meh and Hide don't count.
- A city on your Profile — every suggestion
is measured as real distance from it.
Events come from within 50 miles of you. Groups too, plus anything
anywhere in your state, plus global groups that have no location at all.
💡 Tips
- Every page has its own tutorial behind the ❓ button top-right —
More → Tutorials is the full index.
- Install qMEET from your browser (Add to Home Screen / Install) — no app
store — for push reminders and a home-screen icon.
- Anyone can browse events and
groups without an account, so a link you share
still works on friends who haven't joined.
